CALL FOR PROJECTS – FEASIBILITY STUDIES

SUPPORTING INDUSTRIAL INNOVATIONS FOR THE TRANSITION TOWARDS A CIRCULAR ECONOMY

As part of the Supporting Industrial Innovations for the Transition towards a Circular Economy (SI2TEC) program deployed in November 2022, PRIMA is launching a call for projects under the title “Bringing Circularity to Life in Advanced Materials: From Envisioning to Planning” which aims to support industrial feasibility studies as well as the planning of structuring circular economy projects for the benefit of an industrial sector, a sector of activity, a territory or a community linked to the bioeconomy in Québec.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CALL FOR PROJECTS

  1. Identify innovative initiatives in the circular economy at the scale of an industrial sector in advanced materials, a sector of activity, a territory or a community in order to promote structuring projects in Québec.
  2. Encourage the establishment of partnerships and collaboration between industry players, businesses, public and private organizations, and local communities in order to create synergies and optimize the achievement of concrete results during the realization of projects.
  3. Promote the completion of elements and structured activities prior to the realization of investments in circular economy projects.

As part of a structured approach within an industrial sector, PRIMA wishes to receive application files for carrying out feasibility studies leading to circular economy projects.

STUDIES CAN TAKE SEVERAL FORMS SUCH AS:

  • A study on the technological, commercial or competitive positioning of a sector linked to the circular economy;
  • A study or analysis aimed at solving a problem, an issue or a need common to several companies in the same industrial sector or associated sectors;
  • A techno-economic feasibility study or a study on the identification of technology that would promote industrial synergies.

The submitted study may consist of one or more of the forms mentioned above. Additionally, it may contain a section on developing deployment strategies or obtaining strategic data.

The study must have a maximum duration of twelve (12) months, with a start and end date, including deliverables determined and described in the request.

Subsequently, the proposed study should lead to a promising innovation project in the circular economy.
